Rome – The unstoppable Martin Luther has succeeded in doing something he never intended to do in the first place. He has started a new denomination. While Luther was surprised about the outcome of the Reformation, the old pope was furious.

            “He can’t do that!” A mad Pope Leo X declared. “Doesn’t he realize that only Popes and Bishops have the authority to spew heresy?” It was just then that the Pope had a flash of inspiration. “Ooh! I have it! If I can’t convince anybody that Luther is a heretic, what if I just call him a Latter - Day Saint. It means basically the same thing.”

            Unfortunately for his eminence, that plan did not work either. Joseph Smith upon hearing the news publicly excommunicated Martin Luther before Luther himself rejected the offer. “I don’t want Luther taking apart my theology like he takes apart the Pope’s.” An irritated Joseph Smith declared.
