Satura Apologia Today
Houston Texas – In a crushing blow for theists and spaghetti and meatball lovers alike, atheist and author Christopher Hitchens is set to publish a new book entitled The Giant Spaghetti Monster is Not Great and Neither is Spaghetti.
In a recent speech, Hitchens explained why he had moved on from the God of the Bible to the Giant Spaghetti Monster. “I have pretty much given up on disproving the Christian God.” Hitchens gave the audience a cross stare. “Look, it is much easier to disprove a God that doesn’t exist than a God does. Believe me, I have tried.”
In an endorsement of the book, atheist Richard Dawkins wrote. “The Giant Spaghetti Monster is arguably the most unpleasant character in my imagination: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, meatball-filled, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully covered in noodles.” Dawkins scratched his head. “Oh, and he is totally not a figment of my imagination.”
In related news, Christians are still sitting around scratching their heads and twiddling their thumbs wondering when atheists will ever get around to attacking the God of the Bible.
