Brigham Young Insists that His Household Alone Makes Mormonism the Largest World Religion

Satura Apologia Today

Salt Lake City – In an effort to gain more attention on the world stage, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints recently suggested that they were the largest world religion.

“My household alone puts us at number one!” A proud Brigham Young declared. “There are more Mormons married to me than there are Christians in the world.”

Additionally, Joseph Smith suggested that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was also the fastest-growing world religion. “We have got the most kids because we have the most wives,” Smith said. “It’s simple arithmetic.”

At publishing time, Christians pushed back on Brigham Young’s claim, pointing out that while he still had fifty-five wives too many, it still did not make the Latter-Day Saint Church the largest world religion.
