Maine Medical Center – Following in the footsteps of his dear friend and former atheist Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett for the first time came to the sure and certain realization that God exists.

At the age of 82, friends and family reported that, yet another one of the four horsemen of the new atheists became a theist. After spending the vast majority of his adult life, ridiculing belief in God, Dennett has come to regret his ridicule.

“I was sorry to hear of Daniel’s conversion to theism.” Richard Dawkins said in a written statement released on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“While not the decision I would have made, I wish Daniel well as he enters a new phase.” New Atheist Sam Harris said, after expressing condolences to the family.

At the time of this article’s publication, Daniel Dennett could not be reached for comment.
