Satura Apologia Today

The local McDonalds – Waiter Timothy McFries reported confusion to his manager. McFries complained that McDonalds had not adequately trained employees in customer management, especially when it comes to consistent Buddhists.

According to McFries, the Buddha walked into to MacDonalds and sat down but refused to eat anything. “No, no” Buddha said. “I must reject desire. I must. I must. I must. I must turn away from the desires of the flesh that yearn to take a bite of that succulent piece of meat you tempt me with.”

“But why else would you come to MacDonalds if not to satiate your hunger for cheap food?” A befuddled McFries asked.

“Desire is the cause of all suffering.” Buddha explained to the confused employee. “Take Taco Bell, you desire a juicy taco. In fact, you crave it. But then, a couple hours later, it causes hours of suffering and stomach cramps. See, your desire was quite literally the cause of suffering.”

By publishing time, the Buddha had not yet rejected the desire to live and decided to eat after all.
