Alpharetta Georgia – In his latest message from the pulpit, one of the world’s leading seeker friendly mega Church pastors announced his intention to ‘unhitch’ Christianity from the Church fathers.

            “Look, I want to get people in the door and get them saved.” The Pastor said. “And right now, those early fathers are acting as a barrier between seekers and the love of God.” The Pastor scratched his head. “They are a lot like the Old Testament if you know what I mean. I think it is time we unhitched Christianity from the Church fathers!”

            The suggestion was met with high praise. One Pastor from Fries Virginia reminded his congregation of all the seekers the early fathers unlovingly barred from the Church. “They prevented Arius and Marcion and countless other heretics from feeling included in any theologically orthodox Church. It is the most unloving thing I can think of.”

            Regrettably for the pro-orthodoxy Church, the early fathers could not be reached for comment.
