Satura Apologia Today

The Middle of Nowhere – Brigham Young recently revealed a strange incident in the life of LDS prophet Joseph Smith. An incident that Young said would only embolden Latter Day Saints in their belief that things that are not God can become God.

Young told the story of how Joseph Smith went wandering in the desert somewhere in Utah until he found a bush that was on fire though not burning up. “Joseph! Joseph!” The Bush called to Smith. “Take out your earbuds and stop listening to Battlestar Galactica for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

Then the Bush said, “I am the LORD your God.”

“I didn’t think bushes could become Latter Day Saints, let alone Gods!” Smith marveled at the burning bush. “Sir, could you explain how you made it through the exaltation process? It would really help me out.”

In related news, Brigham Young also revealed that the pillar of fire mentioned in Exodus was also once a Latter Day Saint that became a God.
