Satura Apologia Today
Beyond the Satire Note: Seriously, would you believe it if your brother claimed he was the son of God, and then go die for him? Check out the case for Jesus's brother James dying as a martyr. https://seanmcdowell.org/blog/did-james-the-brother-of-jesus-die-as-a-martyr
Nazareth – In a recent census taken by Caesar Augustus, Rome has found that precious few siblings deify their brothers or sisters. In fact, the opposite tends to be true. Exceptions to this rule can be found in two of Jesus of Nazareth’s brothers.
“Jesus, why did mommy just say that not only are you better than I am but that you are also perfect and not to mention the son of God?” Jesus’s brother James asked him one day in a totally non-awkward way.
“Because I AM.” Jesus reportedly replied.
“Mommy!” Another brother called Jude wailed after he was done eavesdropping. “Jesus wants to be stoned. Could you spank him instead?”
By publishing time, not only did James believe that Jesus was God, but he went out and died for that belief.
