Beyond the Satire Note: How closely do the Christmas stories parallel ancient mythologies about Horus? A cold case detective investigates. https://coldcasechristianity.com/writings/is-jesus-simply-a-retelling-of-the-horus-myth/
A Cave in the Middle of Egypt – An ancient God named Horus, who never existed because he was never conceived, expressed bewilderment after hearing about the Virgin birth of Jesus.
“How the heck did he manage that?” Horus wondered aloud to his also non-existent four disciples. “That Jesus dude shouldn’t exist if he was born of a virgin.”
Horus went on to recount his failures to be born. “My mommy thought she could just snap her fingers and then I would appear. The first-time mommy snapped her fingers, she had high hopes, but I still didn’t exist afterward. The second time she even said abracadabra, but still no me.”
At publishing time, sources confirmed that Horus’s mother was headed out to the chicken coup to see if it would be easier to hatch Horus.
