Pampa Texas – Charles Taze Russell began his sermon this past Sunday with moving words for any Star Wars fan. “May the Father, the Son, and the Force be with you.”

According to Russell, the idea that the Holy Spirit is an impersonal force is found nowhere in the Bible so naturally, he started looking at Star Wars. “The original trilogy presents the closest thing I can find to what my idea of the Holy Spirit is,” Russell told congregants.

The JW founder then went on to deliver a sermon that went conservatively three and a half hours long exegeting Yoda’s lines.

In related news, Russell retranslated Jesus’s promise to send a helper as ‘May the Force be with you.’
