El Paso, Texas – In a collaboration with Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, Charles Darwin is set to write the nonfiction version of ‘Origin of Species.’ This new book will be entitled ‘Origin of Klingons’ and will conclusively prove that humanity has a common ancestor with the Klingon race.

            “Obviously, the Borg was not our common ancestor. It would most certainly require a God to make that theory remotely plausible and we really don’t want God involved in this project.” Darwin said in a press release. “We decided that of all species, the Klingons would least require God’s guidance in the evolutionary process.”

            “Cheer up! At least we are not postulating that the Daleks were our common ancestors.” Gene Roddenberry said in response to his critics.

            At publishing time, Star Wars creator George Lucas offered Charles Darwin a six-digit sum to co-produce ‘Origin of Wookiees.’
